Wind Engineering and Renewable Energy Laboratory (WIRE)
The main goal of our research is to improve our understanding and ability to predict turbulent transport of momentum and scalars (e.g., heat, water vapor, pollutants) in environmental flows, with emphasis on the atmospheric boundary layer and wind energy systems.

Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID)
The Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID) focuses its activities around the integration of building performance considerations in the architectural design process. With daylighting and passive solar strategies as strategic areas, research conducted at LIPID range from new façade technologies to interactive visualization methods or climate-based performance metrics with a common overarching goal of promoting energy-efficiency and human comfort and health within buildings.

Chair Management of Network Industries (MIR)
The Chair MIR studies, the de- and re-gulation, as well as the governance and the management of the network industries, i.e., postal services, telecommunications, electricity, water distribution and sanitation, air transport and railways with a special focus on the role the ICT's play in both transforming and governing these industries. MIR has also extended its research activities in to areas of innovation and rish in these industries, as their transformation makes them simultaneously more innovative and more vulnerable.
